This year the Urban Food Fortnight will take place over the 8th – 24th September. The annual event celebrates all the fantastic urban growers, producers, forages and farmers in London.
Chantelle Nicholson will be showcasing the season’s most delicious fruits and vegetables to children aged 8 -12 years old. Children will be learn about the seasonality of vegetables and create exciting taste, flavour and smell combinations, using produce from our local Urban Farm – The Calthorpe Project. Classes will take place at The Gilbert Scott and Tredwells, and recipe cards highlighting the produce used will be gifted to take-away. Children will also have the opportunity to tour a professional, restaurant kitchen, meet the chefs and plate their own dessert.
The event is free to attend but booking is essential. We ask you kindly for a £15 donation to support The Calthorpe Project
