Valeria, Bar Supervisor at Tredwells

Valeria hails from the beautiful Milan, Italy, with an amazing story. Arriving in a new country with an appetite to learn, she has put her multiple skills to great use and along the way developed a passion for hospitality. She began her career as a Commis Waitress at Tredwells in 2016, initially to learn English, after completing High School.


Her progression with Marcus Wareing Restaurants is impressive as she moved up into a Bar Back and Reception role at Tredwells, then as a Bartender in George’s Bar to now returning to Tredwells as Bar Supervisor. No doubt these developments are down to her passion and love for the hospitality industry. As Valeria herself said “It is about the people, the passion, the stories of Marcus and Chantelle and the stories behind the customers dining experiences” adding to her satisfaction.

Food for me is a source of inspiration and it’s great to work with chefs like Chantelle and Marcus who made food a work of art, playing through colours, shapes, and flavours.

As well as her roles with Marcus Wareing Restaurants, Valeria has been studying full time and is in her 2nd year of an Arts degree focusing on Illustration Design. This has led to an interest in marketing and has since been working with our marketing team conducting research, providing insights into the London restaurant scene and designing collateral for events within the restaurants, recently for our newest ‘Wine-Down Sundays’ at Tredwells.

Valeria believes there is always something to learn, and she has gained valuable experience in being able to talk to people about the enjoyment of wine and food. “If I look back over the last 3 years I am a very different person but happy in what I have become. It’s a very interesting way to see the world differently and the adrenaline that comes from service you can’t get anywhere else!”
