Head Chef

Due to our current Chef moving back to the warmer climes of the New World we a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head Chef to join our team.

You will have:

– A great communication style
– A passion for training and working with young cooks
– An ability to look for solutions
– Previous experience in a senior kitchen role
– A love of food, and all things hospitality
– A versatile and adaptable management style
– A positive attitude and a confidence in motivating the team

This will be a very hands on role and would suit a senior chef who has great people skills looking to make a move into a rewarding and fast paced environment. The role suits someone with a mature and positive outlook who enjoys working with people and food. The ideal chef will be a motivated person with a sense of self-discipline and the want to create a great working environment.

Working alongside our Executive Chef, the following are specific duties and contributors critical to the successful performance of this position:

Communication
– Effective communication with all members of the kitchen brigade, front of house and group management

Education and Development
– Educating and training the brigade to deliver a great service at all times

Financial
– Be able to maintaining consistent food costs, operational costs and stock control practices

Cookery
– Solid experience in cookery techniques with a want to still learn more. A methodical and systematic thinker when it comes to cookery and the execution of prep and service is imperative

We would like you to have;

– A strong food related background working in a restaurant kitchen
– An ability to think creatively
– A sense of maturity and confidence in your actions
– Previous experience in managing a team

Human Resource Generalist

Due to our current HR star moving back to the warmer climes of Sicily we are now looking for an HR generalist extraordinaire to join our team.

You will have;
– A great communication style
– A passion for recruitment
– An ability to look for solutions
– Previous experience working in hospitality, namely restaurants
– A love of food, and all things hospitality

This will be a very hands on standalone role and would suit an HR person who has great people skills looking to make a move into a rewarding and fast paced environment.

As well as being the main point of contact for all three restaurants, the following are specific duties and contributors critical to the successful performance of this position:

Recruitment
– Managing the recruitment process from end to end to ensure all vacancies are filled with the right candidates to reduce staff turnover.

Learning and Development
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with external training providers, schools and universities.

Employee Relations Management
– Act as a single point of contact for employees and managers advising on Company policies and procedures

Payroll
– Working with the payroll provider managing the payroll and taking ownership of all payroll and benefits queries including pension and tronc

We would like you to have;
– A strong generalist HR background
– Employment Relations/Employment Law experience
– An understanding of compensation and all payroll functions
– An ability to think creatively and outside the box

Assistant Head Sommelier

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated sommelier to join our Head Sommelier and Management team at The Gilbert Scott. Whilst working in one of London’s most beautiful dining rooms you will work in conjunction with the team on our wine list which includes over 350 bins.

Do you have:

– A passion to ensure our guests receive a memorable experience
– Extensive wine and food knowledge and a want to learn more
– A good eye for detail
– An ability to genuinely inspire and lead others in the sommelier and front of house team
