Group HR Manager

An exciting position is available for a new Group HR Manager to join the team at Marcus Wareing Restaurants, working closely with the two directors of the Company, and the managers onsite.

The role will cover a variety of functions where you will support the business in all aspects of HR, including Recruitment and Retention, Learning and Development, and Employee Relations.

This will be a very hands on role and would suit someone who has great people skills looking to make a move into a rewarding and fast paced environment.

Skills you need:

Previous experience working in hospitality is desirable
Solid recruitment experience
Employment Relations/Employment Law experience
An understanding of payroll functions
Ability to think creatively
A strong generalist HR background
Previous experience managing an HR team
Exceptional communication skills

Specific Duties

As well as being the main point of contact for all three restaurants, the following are specific duties and contributors critical to the successful performance of this position

Recruitment

Managing the recruitment process from the beginning to end to ensure all vacancies are filled with the right candidates to reduce staff turnover

Assist in the creation of job descriptions and person specifications

Identifying various methods for filling vacancies

Decide on recruitment channels

Learning and Development

Develop and maintain strong relationships with external training providers, schools and universities

Monitor and update employee benefits|

Working closely with managers to ensure apprenticeship training is followed through correctly

Ensuring long term relationships are maintained at all times

Review and analyse the performance appraisal managing process

Create an induction program and deliver to all members of staff and starters

Employees Relations Management

Act as a single point of contact for employees and managers advising on Company policies and procedures

Working closely with the 2 business directors to continually strive to drive the business forward

Enhance the organisations communications

Payroll

Working with the payroll provider managing the payroll and taking ownership of all payroll and benefits queries including pension and tronc

Digital Marketing Executive

​An exciting, brand new position is available for a Digital Marketing Executive to join the team at Marcus Wareing Restaurants, working closely with the two directors of the Company, and the current Marketing Manager.

The role will cover a variety of functions, managing and developing the business across its various key, digital touch-points.

This role would suit someone looking to make a move into a rewarding and fast paced environment with room for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with the current Marketing Manager to develop and manage the ​digital strategy of the company on a daily basis. ​

Building engagement, brand awareness and driving website traffic through SEO and PPC best practises. Specifically helping to ​create and run campaigns on Google AdWords, ​to be analysed ​on a weekly basis with the Marketing Manager.​

Tracking, analysing and optimising keyword research using tools relevant to previous experience.

Assisting the Marketing Manager in ​writing and producing content that fits the brand’s tone of voice. This may include: website copy, blog posts and social media content.

​Working with the Marketing Manager to ​provide monthly reports and demonstrate an ROI with detailed analysis of budgeted campaigns.

​Provide bi-weekly reports on guest feedback and scores on all online listing sites such as Bookatable, Open Table etc, provide analysis and spot trends.

Working with the Marketing Manager to ensure Marcus Wareing Restaurants​ is at the forefront of any new digital developments that may benefit the company.

​Researching​ and evaluating​ whether ​new tech opportunities are suitable​ for our brand.

Key Skills

Strong previous experience in a digital role, excellent knowledge of all digital platforms, social media, SEO, PPC and analytics.

Excellent written and oral communication, blogging or copywriting experience is highly desirable.​

Strong analytical skills.

Creative flair and the ability to brief and project manage both internal and external partners, from concept development through to final execution.

Flexible enough to work in a dynamic and changing environment.

A team player who is driven, proactive and motivated and can work independently.

​​​Strong decision-making, organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
