Along the way, he meets Mangalitza pigs in North Yorkshire, longhorn cows in Shropshire and free-range chickens in Leicestershire, as well as visiting Devon for ducks, Kent for apples and his native Lancashire to meet Lonk sheep.

In season two, Marcus focused on the south-east of England, putting down roots in his local community, leaning on new friends for shared knowledge and support, as well as stepping in to help where he can.

From tomatoes and pumpkins, to Kent-grown watermelons, Marcus explored the huge variety of ingredients on his doorstep, as well as welcoming some new friends, including geese and piglets.
